What is MulaTap?
MulaTap is South Africa's integrated event e-wallet and merchant payment platform. Event-goers can load funds and scan-to-pay merchants, while vendors get a full POS and management system.
How do I pay merchants at events?
Download the MulaTap Client app from the App Store or Google Play. Create an account, load funds into your secure e-wallet using Paystack, and simply scan a merchant's QR code at any participating event to pay instantly.
How do I become a merchant?
Download the MulaTap Merchant app and submit your application. Once approved, you can set up your team, inventory, and banking details to start selling at events.
What payment methods are accepted?
MulaTap supports secure e-wallet payments. You can top up your wallet using debit/credit cards or instant EFT via Paystack. Merchants receive payments into their MulaTap wallet and can cash out to their bank account.
How do I cash out my earnings?
From the Merchant app, navigate to Earnings and request a cash-out. Funds are transferred to your linked bank account within the standard processing period.
Is MulaTap safe and secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard encryption, secure token-based authentication, and PIN verification for all transactions. Your financial data is protected at all times.
Can I manage my team on MulaTap?
Yes. The Merchant app includes full team management with role-based permissions. You can add employees, assign roles (Owner, Manager, Cashier, Waiter), and control what each team member can do.
Do I need internet access to use MulaTap?
An internet connection is required for real-time features. However, the Merchant app is designed with local-first architecture, allowing certain operations to work offline and sync when connected.
